Development of a nanostructured hard coat bearing system for petrochemical transport pumps

As a Venture Builder NanoBusiness initiative, the project involves the development of a coating system consisting of DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) optimized for application in submersible pumps. The product can withstand prolonged use in conditions containing multiphase fluids, including abrasive elements and supersaturation conditions of gases common to the chemical and petrochemical industry.

The developed technology promotes the increase of mechanical resistance and the reduction of abrasive wear of the bearing parts, increasing the resistance to failures and the equipment durability.
