Study required by the coordination of micro and nanotechnology of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC) and by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Market analysis and technological prospecting considered the impacts of public and private investments in nanotechnology in Brazil, in 12 industrial sectors considered strategic, and contributed to the decision of public policies of two Brazilian ministries (MCTIC and MDIC–Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade).
